Robotics and Internet of Things (IoT) Certification
Course Information
In addition to covering in depth robotics and the IoT, this course will cover the integration between mechanical systems, automation, and networked devices. The course will provide a tidbit of the central concepts of robotics, such as kinematics, control systems, and sensory integration, with an exposure to IoT, to enable robotic systems to communicate and give access to real-time monitoring and control over the internet.
The content covered in the course will include IoT system architecture, protocols for data communication in an IoT system, cloud integration, and IoT security. Through hands-on labs and creative projects, students will bring a robot with IoT capabilities alive by integrating what they have learned about embedded systems, wireless networks, and data analytics. By completing this course, students will gain the ability to design and deploy robot systems that can interact with their environment autonomously and communicate with each other, opening up a myriad of devices, industries, and processes to automation and accessibility.
